Jennifer Wright

During the past year I have been producing work resulting in both exploring and researching elements surrounding the burka. The piece above was part of my research, and that research in turn became my art. The tags were collected while I was wearing the burka in and around Canterbury. This I would like to be exhibited so that it related to human height. The clay hanger needs to hang from a screw which has a custom made piece extending from where it it attached to the wall. There is some photo documentation of the public interactions with the collection of the labels. This does not necessarily need to be displayed.

The above work is a series of A3 silk screen images on paper. There are 35 prints in total and for this reason it might be too large for this exhibition. This piece consisting of 18 prints was part of an installation where a film was projected onto the images.
