I have chosen a large wire sculpture, which would be hung on wire cords from the ceiling. It is approximately 5' in height, (at the head) and approx 5' in length. Its weight is as yet unknown, but suffice it to say, I can carry it comfortably- although it is bulky, and would need 2 persons to hang it. I would like it suspended so that the viewer can see it from underneath, as well as from all around, and will have 1-2 spotlights on it to create shadows.
I have also chosen to exhibit a wall hung piece (framed). It is approx 3' by 3'. It is a print and drawing combined, layered together to give it 3 dimensions. It is in black and white, with grey frame.
Using wire, or lettering and code over and over again is a means of creating 'matter', as if of dust particles, or galaxies of stars hurtling into an infinite chaos of energy.
